BERP Works to Strengthen Certifications for Women- and Minority-Owned Businesses /


PITTSFIELD, Mass—The Berkshire Economic Recovery Project has announced the launch of its Women and Minority-Owned Business (W/MBE) module with the aim of boosting certifications of women- and minority-owned businesses. minorities.

This training module, available in English and Spanish, provides a high-level overview of what it means to be a certified woman and/or minority-owned business, and how such certification can help support small businesses here in the Berkshires. .

In addition to the short training modules, interested companies will also find a direct link to schedule a free admissions consultation with 1Berkshire’s economic development team.

These consultations will allow 1Berkshire to make direct technical assistance referrals to help guide interested women and minority-owned businesses through the certification process.

The Berkshire Economic Recovery Project is a program of the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission and Berkshire, funded by the United States Economic Development Administration.
