FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is hosting virtual public forums in the coming days to explain proposed goals for disadvantaged businesses.
The goals are to ensure certified companies are able to compete fairly for federally funded transportation projects, the firm said.
The Cabinet Office for Civil Rights and Small Business Development will host the forums, which will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. Tuesday. Each forum lasts one hour. Entrants should register by emailing [email protected] or calling (502) 782-4816.
The participation target is being developed in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration. When approved, the target will be in effect for three years.
Goals will be available online or by phone when completed. A comment period will take place from June 15 to July 25.
